Air Conditioning Filter

The different types of air condition filters can include pleated, electrostatic, HEPA, electronic and standard.  They all have cardboard material all along the outside.  There are many sizes available.  It is very important to get an air filter of the right measurements.  If it doesn’t fit properly then it won’t work properly to filter the air.  If it is your first time shopping for a filter for your air conditioner then remove then one in your system and take it with you or check it and right down the measurements.  There are 3 set up numbers needed.  You have the width, height and length.  Many will just say it is this type of form 16 X 25 X 1.  These filters need to be changed every month regularly.

 

Furnace Filter

A furnace air filter is found in the return ductwork.  It is established near the furnace heat exchanger or ac coil to filter to air before it has a chance to pollute or dirty either one of those components involved.  There are many materials these filters are made from.  Where the filter was primarily only to keep the furnace and fans clean it now hold another job as well.  They are now being place into systems to decrease the exposure that can affect your health.
